We operate several public low-cost spay & neuter clinics throughout the month. Priority is given to Worcester County residents. If you are a resident of another county/state, please contact your local humane society for spay & neuter assistance. Clinics are by appointment only, and our waiting lists are closed due to overwhelming demand.

WCHS Clinic Instructions

Drop-off times are between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM. Pick-up times may vary but generally occur around 5:00 PM – we will notify you of this on your appointment day, via telephone.  Drop-offs & pickups must be made by an authorized person, as we have paperwork that needs proper authorization signatures.

We ask you be prompt for both pickup and drop-off times.

All animals must be restrained and contained when dropped off or picked up. Dogs must be on a leash with a collar or harness. Cats must be in an appropriate-sized, hard carrier (please no soft carriers) or trap.

Payments are cash or credit card only and are due on the day of your appointment. We DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS.

The night before surgery, DO NOT allow your animal to eat food or treats after 8 PM. Water is allowed. This is for the health and safety of your animal as they will be given medications for sedation, and we do not want them to vomit while they are sedated.

Our medical staff will advise if we cannot perform surgeries due to medical conditions. This is for the health and safety of your animal. We may not be able to advise this until the pre-operation evaluation of your animal the day of surgery. Please advise when you call for your appointment if your animal has any existing medical conditions. Certain pure-bred animals are prone to genetic and medical issues that would preclude them from having surgery at our clinic.

You must provide written proof of rabies prior to your appointment date. We require additional bloodwork testing for all dogs prior to surgery. This paperwork may be brought on the day of your appointment, faxed ahead to the clinic at 410-213-8200, or emailed to [email protected].

If you want additional services, please advise at intake.  Additional fees will apply.

SPAYING & NEUTERING PRICES – Includes examination, rabies vaccination, pain medication and e-collar (dogs only).

We require bloodwork on every dog prior to the spaying or neutering appointment. This is a different appointment, at least a week in advance. Bloodwork pricing varies.
